European Community List This file contains food additives approved by the European Commission. The 366 materials with "E" numbers are listed with functionality and permitted uses and use levels as specified in Directives 95/2/EC & 88/388/EEC. Materials are cross referenced with FDA numbers from Title 21 of the U.S. CFR and/or FEMA & COE numbers. In our new version, direct access to the original 95/2/EC directive and amendment as well as Directive 95/45/EC on color specifications and the 88/388/EEC & the EC Commission Decision of 23 February 1999 adopting a register of flavouring substances used in or on foodstuffs drawn up in application of Regulation (EC) No 2232/96 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 October 1996 directive are available as Acrobat Reader pdf files. International Color Regulations - This file presents a colorful and easy to use interface screen that quickly provides the regulatory status in nearly all major countries. Easily queried or reported by color or by country. Title 21 - Code of Federal Regulations - This new database screen provides the COMPLETE TEXT of all regulations appearing in Title 21 CFR (sections 1 to 199). The data included in these files is current as of April, 2000 and will be updated annually. USDA Meat & Poultry Additives - This database provides in summary form the regulations of the U.S. Department of Agriculture for Meat and Poultry Additives. FDA Direct Food Additives - This file contains material on direct food additives approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) which appear in Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), sections 1 to 199, plus a number of GRAS food additives approved by FDA (e.g., potassium benzoate) which are not listed in the CFR.
